Heuchera 'Obsidian'
Heuchera 'obsidian', also called purple bell in Dutch, is a very attractive evergreen perennial with a compact pol-forming habit and particularly attractive almost black, lobed heart-shaped leaves. Heuchera obsidian blooms in June and July with creamy white flowers that emerge from purple flower buds. This plant prefers a neutral, well-drained soil type and prefers a position in filtered sunlight or partial shade. It is hardy, drought resistant, disease resistant and has little trouble with vermin. Heuchera 'obsidian' changes color during the growing season, the adult leaves evolve to an almost pure black color.
