Gypsophila pan. 'Schneeflocke'
Gypsophila 'schneeflocke', called gypsophila in Dutch, is a semi-evergreen perennial with a bushy and tall habit. The basal leaves are small, lance-shaped, gray-green in color, the plant blooms from July to August with a veritable sea of double white flowers barely 1.2 cm in diameter. Gypsophila paniculata likes a position in full sun and a well-drained, preferably calcareous soil, although it also does in neutral soil and slightly acidic soil. The plant is hardy, sea wind tolerant, pest free and can also handle some air pollution. This gypsophilla lures its flower carpet also numerous butterflies and bees.
