Echinacea purp. 'Rubinstern'

Echinacea purpurea rubinstern is a coneflower with a bushy, upright and clump-forming habit and medium green, narrow, ovals and fine-toothed leaves. This coneflower blooms from July to September with pink-red flowers of up to 12 cm around an orange-brown cone.The petals are not pendulous, but beautifully stretched horizontally. This echinacea likes a position in full sun or light shade and does well in any well-drained soil, moderately moist to dry soil. The plant is hardy, reasonably drought tolerant, tolerates air pollution and sea wind, attracts numerous butterflies, bees and insects and is virtually free of pests and diseases.
