Aster dumosus "Schneekissen" is often also called aster novi belgii "snow cushion", it is a low and compact autumn aster with smooth, lance-shaped, medium green leaves. This autumn flower blooms abundantly from August to October with white daisy-like flowers with a yellow center. It likes a sunny position and a fertile, well-drained, slightly moist soil. It is very hardy, attracts many butterflies, bees and insects, is sea wind tolerant and also tolerates air pollution well.
