Rhododendron 'Cunningham's White'

Rhododendron 'Cunningham's White' is an extremely popular medium-sized evergreen rhodo with a wide upright, densely branched shape. The leaves are long, oval, slightly glossy and dark green in color. This caucasicum hybrid blooms mainly from May to June, with funnel-shaped, white flowers with light purple and brown spots in the throat, grouped in clusters of 7 to 8 flowers. This crowd favorite likes a location in filtered sunlight or partial shade, sheltered from chilly winds and with a shaded root zone, but can also handle some full sun. This rhodo requires an acidic, moist, well-drained soil that should never be allowed to dry out completely, requires little pruning and is hardy.
