Hosta 'Gold Standard'

Hosta 'gold standard' is a medium to large heart lily with a widely spreading, pol-forming habit, this deciduous perennial has attractive, heart-shaped, strongly veined, yellow leaves with a dark green margin and blooms in July and August with lilac bell-shaped flowers on long upright flower stems. Hosta 'Gold Standard' prefers a position in partial shade, in the shade the leaves lose their yellow color. It prefers fertile, well-drained and moist soil. This hosta is very hardy, tolerant of sea wind, tolerates air pollution reasonably well and is generally disease free. Often used in partial shade borders and Japanese gardens.
