Gypsophila 'Rosenschleier'
Gypsophila 'Rosenschleier', called gypsophila in Dutch, is a semi-evergreen perennial with a bushy and compact turf-forming habit. The basal leaves are small, lance-shaped, gray-green to blue-green in color, the plant blooms from July to September with a veritable sea of white, 1 cm large flowers that later turn lilac-pink. Gypsophila paniculata likes a position in full sun and a well-drained, preferably calcareous soil, although it also does in neutral soil and slightly acidic soil. The plant is hardy, sea wind tolerant, pest free and can also handle some air pollution. This gypsophilla lures its flower carpet also numerous butterflies and bees.
