Brunnera macr. 'Betty Bowring'
Brunnera macrophylla "Betty Bowring" is a relatively small Cape forget me not with a clump-forming habit and finely hairy, heart-shaped fresh green leaves. "betty bowring" blooms from April to June with pure white flowers in branching studs. The plant prefers a position in partial shade or filtered sunlight, but also in deep shade or even in full sun, provided the soil is sufficiently moist. Brunnera is hardy, fairly tolerant to air pollution, attracts butterflies, bees and insects and is often used as an undergrowth for trees and shrubs. It can also be used in the coastal region on a sheltered position.
