Salix el. 'Angustifolia'

Salix elaeagnos "Angustifolia", also called rosemary willow or gray willow, is a small deciduous shrub with a bushy, upright shape and dark brown branches. The leaves resemble rosemary petals, long, narrow, lanceolate, silvery gray in spring and dark green in summer. They have felty white hairs on the underside. From February to March, this rosemary willow blooms with inconspicuous green-yellow catkins. It likes a position in full sun or partial shade and prefers a soil with a neutral acidity. This salix is very hardy, needs little pruning, is tolerant of sea wind and air pollution, attracts bees and butterflies and has yellow autumn leaves.
