Lonicera nitida "elegant" in Dutch Chinese honeysuckle is a decorative medium-sized evergreen shrub with a wide upright habit. It blooms from May to June with inconspicuous fragrant ivory-white flowers. The leaves are glossy, dark green and oval in shape. Lonicera nitida "elegant" does well in any well-drained soil and likes a sunny or partial shade position. This Chinese honeysuckle is hardy, slow-growing and does not require much pruning.
