Exochorda racemosa 'Niagara', also called pearl bush, is a beautiful, medium-sized, deciduous shrub with a broad upright shape and upright branches. In spring it blooms particularly profusely with pure white flowers, each with five petals. The leaves are elongated, toothed, green and do not change color in the fall. Exochorda 'niagara' does well in any soil that is not too calcareous, it is quite hardy, likes a position in full sun or partial shade and hates wet feet in winter. In autumn, five-lobed yellow-green seed pods adorn this plant.
