Euonymus eur. 'Red Cascade'

Euonymus europaeus 'Red Cascade'. This cultivar is a medium-sized deciduous shrub with a beautiful upright shape and striking branches with grooved frames. The plant flowers in April and May with inconspicuous yellow-green umbels, hidden between the green, oval to almost round, pointed leaves. In autumn, bright pink four-lobed fruit pods with an orange seed coat adorn this euonymus. The beautiful carmine-red autumn coloring of the leaves is also stunning. Euonymus europaeus 'Red Cascade' is very hardy, does well in any type of soil, can withstand pruning, is air pollution tolerant and also resistant to sea wind and can be used as a coastal plant.
