Cytisus praec. 'Albus'

Cytisus praecox 'albus' is a small deciduous broom species with a broad upright growth, it flowers at the end of May and June with large white to creamy white flowers. This broom likes a position in full sun and prefers to grow in neutral to acidic soil. Cytisus praecox 'albus' is well wind and sea wind tolerant and can therefore be planted in the coastal region. Pruning is done after flowering if desired. In the fall, olive-green seed pods adorn this broom. The plant is also very resistant to air pollution, can be used as a solitary, accent plant in the garden or in public greenery.
