Crataegus media 'Paul's Scarlet'

Crataegus media 'Paul's Scarlet' is a red two-style hawthorn that can grow to 6-8 m high and 4-5 m wide. Deciduous, very floriferous with brilliant carmine red double flowers in spring, followed by a mass of small red berries. Good landscape value, reasonably sea wind resistant, also tolerates hard surfaces well and can therefore be used for street planting. Prefers a sunny position, partial shade is also possible and does well in almost any type of soil.
