Ceanothus hybr. 'Burkwoodii'

Ceanothus 'Burkwoodii', this American lilac or sickle flower is a medium-sized, broad-growing ceanothus. The shrub blooms with bright blue flowers that contrast beautifully with the dark green leaves. The flowering period is from August to September. This American lilac flowers on last year's wood. It likes a position in full sun or light shade and does well in all soils that are not too nutrient-rich and wet. Ceanothus is good sea wind tolerant.
