Acer palm. 'Dissectum'

Acer palmatum 'Dissectum', special Japanese maple with finely divided lanceolate leaves. It is a graceful shrub with a mushroom-like, umbel-shaped crown; slow growing and especially popular for its beautiful autumn colours. The seven to nine-lobed deeply incised lanceolate leaves then turn a beautiful orange-red. It is a shrub for the medium-sized garden, park or also to use as a bonsai. Likes sun and light shade, preferably in a moist, slightly acidic soil, and somewhat sheltered from strong winds, not a coastal plant, but tolerant of air pollution.
