Acer palm. 'Butterfly'

Acer palmatum 'Butterfly', small variegated Japanese maple with white variegated leaves and a beautiful pink leaf margin. It is a small, slow growing shrub. In autumn the pink leaf margin of the variegated leaves turns to scarlet red. The Acer palmatum 'Butterfly' likes sun with light shade, preferably in a moist, slightly acidic soil and somewhat sheltered from strong winds, not a coastal plant, but tolerant of air pollution.
