Acer palm. 'Atropurpureum'

Acer palmatum 'Atropurpureum', the red Japanese maple is a medium-sized shrub or small multi-stem tree, with upright broad form and slightly drooping branches, slightly fan-shaped acer. The acer palmatum atropurpureum blooms with purple-red flowers in May, June and is attractive because of its deeply cut, dark red to purple leaves and beautiful scarlet autumn colour.
