Rosa 'Dame De Coeur'

A re-flowering hybrid tea, introduced around 1958 by Louis Lens, it is often also offered as a standard rose. This rose is firmly upright with a slightly pendulous shape and has dark green, serrated and pointed, glossy leaves. It blooms in summer and autumn with large, beautifully filled, lightly scented, brown-red flowers. Rosa 'Dame de Coeur' likes a sunny position and a moist, but very permeable soil, it does well in all soil types but prefers limy soils. This shrub and stem rose is very hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution, attracts bees and insects, is well disease resistant, but can exceptionally be visited by some traditional rose diseases from which it usually recovers.
