Asplenium trichomanes

Asplenium trichomanes, called saxifrage fern in Dutch, is a small evergreen fern with a creeping to ground cover habit. The dark green, almost linear leaves are single pinnate and evergreen. The saxifrage fern likes a place in partial shade and a well-drained, humus-rich, acidic to slightly alkaline, normal to moist soil. Asplenium trichomanes is hardy, sea wind and air pollution tolerant and once well established it can also handle drier periods.
