Panicum virg. 'Sangria'

Panicum virgatum 'Sangria' is a fascinating ornamental grass with narrow linear upright leaves.

The leaf is green at the base with red to purple at the top.

Flowering occurs in late summer with fragrant cream-colored flower panicles that barely protrude above the leaf clump. The plumes get a nice brown autumn colour.
