Arabis cauc. 'Plena'

Arabis caucasica "Plena", also called rice pudding, crooked calyx or fringe flower in Dutch, is an evergreen perennial with a compact, low-growing shape. The leaves are obovate, coarsely serrated and gray-green in color. Rice pudding blooms from April to May with abundant scented double white flowers. It likes a position in full sun or partial shade, prefers calcareous soil, but also does well in neutral or slightly acidic soil, looks great in the rock garden or between joints of tiles and / or walls. Arabis caucasica is hardy and once established drought tolerant.
