Salvia discolor

Salvia discolor is a beautiful perennial whose stems and undersides of the thick leaves are covered with silvery hairs. The leaves have a pleasant scent of blackcurrant.

Flowers on long slender stems with almost black, deep indigo blue lip flowers. The silvery white hairy, pale green calyx is so large that the lip flowers barely protrude and this is what makes the plant so special.
