Phlomis tuberosa

Phlomis tuberosa is called fire herb or storey flower in Dutch. It is a deciduous perennial with a narrow, upright, clump-forming habit and grey-green, sage-like, lanceolate leaves. The plant flowers in June and July with purple flowers followed by beautiful decorative seed pods. Phlomis tuberosa likes a position in full sun and well-drained fertile soil. Fireweed is also very drought tolerant and hardy.
