Omphalodes verna

Omphalodes verna, also called American forget-me-not, does not originate from America at all, but is a real European plant. This deciduous, low-growing perennial has a creeping, sod-forming habit. The leaves are pointed oval to heart-shaped and bright green in color, the flowers are quite small, light blue, with a white heart and grouped in terminal racemes. Omphalodes verna flowers from March to May and is sometimes confused by some with the brunnera macrophylla or the myosotis (forget me not).
