Kalimeris incisa, called summer aster in Dutch, is a deciduous perennial with a clump-forming habit and upright flower stems. The medium green leaves are toothed, lanceolate and deeply cut. Kalimeris incisa flowers from June to early September with lilac blue to almost white asterachite flowers with a yellow center. The plant likes a position in full sun or partial shade and does well in any well-drained soil. kalimeris is hardy, attracts butterflies and bees and suffers less from diseases and pests than many aster species.
