Gentiana acaulis

Gentiana acaulis grows mainly in mountainous areas in Central and Southern Europe.

Forms a basal rosette of leaves from which a relatively large trumpet-shaped flower blooms on a short stem.

The flower color is intense blue with green specks in the throat. They flower very irregularly from year to year.

This is also very dependent on the cultivar.
