Iris pseud. 'Variegata'
Iris pseudacorus 'variegata', in Dutch called variegated yellow iris, is a high upright, pol-forming and rhizomatous perennial that you often find on the banks of ponds. The deciduous leaves are elongated, sword-shaped and yellow-green colored. Yellow iris blooms in June and July with yellow iris-like flowers with brown veins. Iris pseudacorus 'variegata' likes a position in full sun and does well in acidic to neutral, moist, humus-rich soil. This iris is hardy and tolerates permanently wet growing conditions, it also tolerates sea wind and air pollution fairly well, is disease resistant and pest free.
