Nymphaea 'James Brydon'

Nymphaea "James Brydon" is a richly blooming, pink-red water lily, which is especially suitable for the small and medium-sized pond. The plant has large, almost round leaves that emerge purple-red and then slowly turn green. Blooming from June to September, this water lily has cup-shaped, apple-scented, pink-red flowers with a yellow center. As soon as the flower has finished flowering, it starts to sink to the bottom, after which the seeds can germinate. Nymphaea "James Brydon" prefers a position in full sun or light shade, a water depth of 0.30 to 0.70 meters and a nutrient-rich soil. The plant is hardy, attracts butterflies, bees and other insects, tolerates sea wind and light brackish water and is also tolerant to air pollution.
