Nymphaea 'Colorado'

Nymphaea "Colorado" is a floriferous, salmon-pink water lily, which is particularly suitable for medium to large ponds. The plant has medium-sized, almost round leaves that emerge red and then slowly turn green. This water lily blooms from June to September, with medium-sized, lightly scented, cup-shaped, salmon-pink to peach-colored flowers (diam. 10-12 cm). Once the flower has finished flowering, it begins to sink to the bottom and the seeds can germinate. Nymphaea "Colorado" prefers a position in full sun or partial shade, a water depth of 0.30 to 1.00 meters and a nutrient-rich soil. The plant is very hardy, attracts butterflies, bees and other insects, tolerates sea wind and light brackish water and is also tolerant to air pollution.
