Agastache foeniculum

Agastache foeniculum has soft hairy leaves and a scent of anise, the purple bracts provide color for a long time after flowering.

Moderately hardy but can survive the winter provided dry soil, sheltered and winter cover.

They bloom violet-blue with darker bracts.

It is a short-lived perennial, but they self-seed spontaneously without being really a nuisance.
