Carex muskingumensis is a sedge that is also known as palm sedge or umbrella sedge because of its beautiful decorative foliage. The bloom of this evergreen sedge is quite unremarkable. Carex muskingumensis flowers in the period June-July. Carex muskingumensis can be placed in a swampy, wet spot as well as on a moist soil. The height of Carex muskingumensis is approximately 60-80 cm. Carex muskingumensis is beautiful as a group along the pond edge. What is special is that this bank plant remains more or less green even in winter!
