Aegopodium pod. 'Variegatum'
Aegopodium podagraria "Variegatum", in Dutch called variegated ground elder, is a deciduous ground cover perennial with a true carpet-forming habit. The leaves are three to five lobes, light green with creamy white margins and the small inconspicuous white flowers that appear in May and June are grouped in flattened, dill-like umbels. Elder likes a position in full sun or partial shade and does well in any soil type, the plant can spread quite invasively via rhizomes. It is very hardy, tolerant to sea wind and air pollution, it can also easily handle drought and attracts bees, butterflies and insects.
