Hedera helix 'Woerner', the common ivy is one of the few climbing plants or ground covers that can tolerate heavy shade. This variety has beautiful dark green leaves with light veins.

When the plant is bearing fruit, it is mature and will no longer climb unless pruning prevented it from maturing and thus prevent it from producing fruit.

In autumn, the berries are a delicacy for the birds.

In February you can prune the ground cover ivy to make beautiful and new leaves again.
