Cotoneaster dammeri

Cotoneaster dammeri, dwarf medlar, semi-green, ground-covering ornamental shrub, fast-growing, widely distributed form. The leaves are glossy, strongly veined, leathery and green, on the underside more gray-green, in autumn they turn a beautiful bronze-colored purple. Cotoneaster dammeri blooms abundantly in May and June with creamy white star-shaped flowers followed by bright red berries. This dwarf medlar does well in any soil type and requires a position in partial shade to shade. It is sea wind tolerant, can handle drought and air pollution.
