Yucca filamentosa

Yucca filamentosa, also often called "palm lily" in Dutch, is a small evergreen shrub with a stemless habit and rosette-like habit. The sword-like leaves that emerge from the ground are fibrous, lanceolate and medium green to blue-green in color. After a few years, the Yucca filamentosa blooms in a striking way with abundant creamy white flowers, grouped in cones (sometimes up to 3 meters high flower stems). This palm lily likes a position in full sun or light shade and does well in any well-drained soil. The plant is hardy, low maintenance, drought tolerant, sea wind resistant and can easily handle air pollution.
