Viola labradorica is a violet with a low-growing ground cover habit and small, attractive, purple-green and heart-shaped leaves. The plant blooms from April to June with light violet flowers. The plant prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and thrives in any well-drained moist soil. Viola labradorica is very hardy, evergreen, reasonably sea wind tolerant and free from pests and diseases. This violet is a good ground cover and very suitable for the forest edge or natural garden.
