Saxifraga 'Schneeteppich'

Saxifraga arendsii "schneeteppich", also called moss stonecrop, is a ground covering, evergreen perennial with a rosette-forming habit and small compound, hand-shaped, fresh green leaves. The moss stonecrop blooms abundantly from April to early June with small bowl-shaped, pure white flowers with a green-yellow center. After flowering, saxifraga arendsii may be trimmed to maintain a compact shape. This plant is very hardy and prefers a calcareous, well-drained soil and a position in the sun or partial shade. Saxifraga arendsii "schneeteppich" is evergreen, disease resistant and reasonably tolerates air pollution.
