Saxifraga 'Blütenteppich'

Saxifraga arendsii "blütenteppich", also known as moss stonecrop, is a ground covering, evergreen perennial with a rosette-forming habit and small compound hand-shaped fresh green leaves. The moss stonecrop blooms profusely from April to early June with small cup-shaped soft pink flowers. After flowering, saxifraga arendsii may be trimmed to maintain a compact shape. This plant is very hardy and prefers a calcareous, well-drained soil and a position in the sun or partial shade. Saxifraga arendsii "blütenteppich" is evergreen, disease resistant and reasonably tolerates air pollution.
