Santolina chamaecyparissus

Santolina chamaecyparissus, also called cypress herb or saints flower, is an evergreen perennial or semi-shrub with a bushy, round, almost shrub-like shape. Heiligenbloem has attractive gray-green to silver-gray, finely divided aromatic leaves and blooms from July to August with button-shaped yellow flowers. Santolina chamaecyparissus likes a position in full sun in a sheltered position and prefers a well-drained, moderately fertile to poor soil. The plant is reasonably to hardy, tolerant to sea wind and air pollution.
