Prunella grandiflora

Prunella grandiflora, syn. Brunella grandiflora, is also called brunel, beehive or healing herb in Dutch. It is a deciduous perennial with a bushy turf-forming habit and lance-shaped dark green leaves with a scalloped edge. This prunel blooms from June to August with violet-blue, white, lilac-colored or light-blue tubular flowers that are darker towards the tip of the flower lip. The plant likes a position in full sun to partial shade and does well in almost any soil type, ph flexible. Prunelle grandiflora is very hardy, drought tolerant, tolerant to sea wind and air pollution and also virtually without disease or pest problems.
