Phlox 'Alpha'

Phlox maculata 'Alpha' is a very fragrant and richly flowering floks with a dense, almost cylindrical inflorescence of lilac-pink flowers with a small dark eyelet.

Is fairly resistant to disease.

Prefers fresh and rich soil, even clayey and slightly wet, but well drained, and without excess lime.

Needs sun to bloom properly.

An environment that is too dry or too warm makes the foliage more susceptible to powdery mildew.

Installed in the sun in a climate with hot summers, it requires continuous watering and mulching at the base. Regularly removing the faded flowers will encourage a second bloom at the end of the season.
