Persicaria amplexicaulis "orange field" is a very upright, deciduous knotweed or viper root. The leaves are up to 15 cm long, elliptical to lanceolate, medium green to dark green. Persicaria amplexicaulis "orange field" flowers from August to October, with elegant orange-pink flower spikes. This persicaria amplexicaulis likes a position in full sun or partial shade, is ph flexible, drought tolerant, but grows fastest in well-drained, moist soil. This mountain plant does well as a border plant, coastal plant and in the partial shade garden. The plant is very hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution, attracts many butterflies, bees and other insects and has little or no problems with diseases and pests.
