Persicaria ampl. 'Dark Red'

Persicaria amplexicaulis is a welcome bloomer in late summer and provides a vertical accent in the border. A bushy plant that is especially beautiful in larger groups.

The cultivar 'Dark Red' does not grow that high, flowers with fine pink-red spikes on a long stem.

Desires a moist, humus-rich soil and looks good at the edge of a pond.
