Papaver or. 'Marcus Perry'
Papaver orientale "marcus perry", also called oriental poppy, is a deciduous perennial with an upright habit. The leaves are medium green, silver colored, hairy, deeply cut, serrated and feathery. Blooming from May to July, this oriental poppy features large, exotic, orange-red flowers, with a striking black spot at the base of each petal. Papaver orientale "marcus perry" prefers a position in full sun and a well-permeable, not too wet, light soil type. This poppy is hardy, fairly drought tolerant and sea wind resistant and can also handle some air pollution. Remarkable plant that, although deciduous, is really evergreen.
