Nepeta faassenii "Six Hills Giant", also known as catnip, is a large, deciduous perennial with a vigorous, spreading and upright habit. The small leaves are aromatic, oval, pointed, serrated and colored gray-green to silver-gray. This catnip blooms from May to September, with large, dark lavender-colored flowers in loose wreaths. Nepeta faassenii "Six Hills Giant" likes a sunny position and a well-drained soil. The plant is very hardy, reasonably drought tolerant and, provided some protection, can also be used well in the coastal region and in the urban environment.
