Leucanthemum 'Polaris'

Leucanthemum x superbum 'polaris', called giant daisy in Dutch, is a deciduous perennial with a bushy upright growth and a pol-forming habit. The leaves are narrow, serrated, spatulate and dark green. This large-flowered daisy blooms from June to September with large, single, white flowers with a yellow center, later followed by inconspicuous annular fruits. Leucanthemum x superbum prefers a position in full sun or partial shade. is ph flexible and does well on any permeable soil. The plant is hardy, fairly drought tolerant and tolerates sea wind and air pollution. Leucanthemum x superbum sometimes suffers from mildew, gray mold, white rust and root rot.
