Kniphofia 'Royal Castle'

Kniphofia uvaria 'royal castle' is a large orange-red flowering torch lily or rocket. This deciduous perennial has a bushy, upright, clump-forming habit. The leaves are lanceolate, grassy, rough-edged, gray-green to blue-green colored. Kniphofia 'royal castle' blooms from July to September with beautiful cylindrical and straight orange-red flowers. The plant prefers a position in full sun and a humus-rich, well-permeable, moisture-retaining soil. This rocket is fairly hardy, tolerant to sea wind, tolerates air pollution, attracts bees and butterflies, is disease resistant and only occasionally suffers from snails and black aphids.
