Rosa 'Purple Roadrunner'

Rosa "purple roadrunner" is a medium sized rugosa hybrid introduced by Kordes in 2007. This rugosa rose from the road runner group has a broad bushy, ground cover form with medium-sized, dark green, dense leaves. It blooms in summer and autumn with rather small, semi-double, strongly scented, lilac purple flowers with a diameter of about 5 cm. Rosa "purple roadrunner" likes a sunny position and a slightly moist, but very well permeable soil. It does well in all soil types. This rose is hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution, attracts bees and insects and is disease resistant.
