Hemerocallis 'Summer Wine' is a deciduous perennial with a robust, upright shape and clump-forming habit. This daylily has narrow medium green to dark green sword-shaped leaves and blooms in June and July with violet-colored funnel-shaped flowers with a yellow throat up to 12 cm in size. this hemerocallis likes a position in full sun or partial shade and appreciates a well-drained, fertile soil with a neutral pH. During the flowering season, the faded flowers should be removed daily and yellow leaves may be torn off. Hemerocallis 'Summer Wine' is hardy, tolerates moderate drought.
